So last night I went to feed my inverts and found my WC Paravaejovis puritanus with a back full of babies! I'm excited, of course - but this is also the first time I've had baby scorpions. Any suggestions/advice? There doesn't seem to be a lot of information available about keeping this species/genus. Wow, there are quite a few! Congrats! Best thing is to just let them be until they have molted and start leaving the mothers back. After that you can separate and place each on in their own little containers, I personally use a container with many small compartments for my scorplings.

The container with multiple compartments idea sounds great! Where do you get those? How big are the compartments?

Very nice sized brood. I've not seen anyone produce these yet on the forums, but I dont visit as often as I used to :(

I personally use 4oz deli cups. They may be a bit big for this species, however.

Yeah, I haven't been able to find any information about raising these guys either. I guess native species - particularly smaller ones like these - aren't as popular as the exotics. I have to admit, I prefer my African scorpions over my California scorpions - but I like to have both so I can show my students some of the local fauna as well as their imported cousins.

I may end up getting some deli cups. At the moment, the smallest thing I have in quantity is 8 oz. but I can pick up some 4 oz. (or smaller) easily enough. These guys will be good practice for me as I was told that my newly-acquired Opistophthalmus may be gravid as well.

I just visited a local shop here that specialises in plastic containers and had a look around, found these. They were cheap enough and you can stack them on top of each other.
