Been trying to find information on this but its thin on the ground. Can anybody shed some light on any reliable sexual dimorphism in this species, or pectinal tooth counts for the two sexes?

Thanks

Well I think googling has provided me with the info I need so I figured I'd post it up here in the interests of making the information more accessible

The diagram below supposedly indicates a female, they have an extra structure (tooth as its been referred to, but its quite seperate from the other pectinal teeth) on the pectines. The arrow points to that structure which I believe only females have:

Hi,

1. Good job that you found the answer already..
2. It isn't an extra structure, it's supposed to be there. That structure is called the basal middle lammelae and can be found only in females, that's correct.
3. Of some species of Parabuthus, the males have bulbous chela (clawhand).
