Anyone have a colony of these Green Banana Roaches? I'm interested in info on lifespan. Although I'd like to start a colony for a display, if they are prolific I'd feed off some to my smaller arboreal T's.

In the US, they are found mostly along the Gulf coast in Florida, so possibly someone living there can spot 'em.
Here's a link to some pics: http://bugguide.net/node/view/31689

They're said to be up to 2"(50mm), with an avg of about 1"(25mm), fly, are not home-invasive, nocturnal and attracted to lights.

There are several spp. in the genus listed in the BCG, but I'm not convinced that what is labelled in collections as Giant Panchlora sp. isn't just a selectively bred line of nivea.
So let me expand my request for info to include any information on the genus Panchlora.

1. Panchlora nivea are found along Gulf coast states in the more humid regions of each on rare occasion. I think they live not quite two years from birth to death and are fairly prolific. Females get about .75 inch and males about .45 inch or so.

2. Panchlora sp. 'giant' is an unidentified species that is similar to P. nivea, though a lighter green color. Females *might* get an inch, with males about half that size. They also live not quite two years. The term 'giant' may be misleading...
