At the urging of Nemesis:) I am inviting all of you Pampho lovers to post pics of your Pamphobeteus spp.

I'll start by posting a pic of my personal favorite P. nigricolor. This is a freshly molted female.

Sorry about the flash on this one, but I had a hard time taking a pic of these jet-black spiders. This is a 7" female P. antinous.

P. ornatus

I lost one of these to a bad molt. I really hope I can keep this one alive. They are difficult to find.

OK, that is a great START, but you must have forgotten how to play the game  you have to tell give specs about the spider. how old she is where you got her, why she's your favorite, etc. etc. etc......

AND we need about 100 more pics=D

I bought this one as a P. insignis. I'm not sure about the ID, but she is a BIG bug.

I would say that a large percentage of my collection has either come from Cronoss, or he and I bought them from other hobbyists who were selling their collections. I have gotten a few Pamphos from Todd G. as well.

This is a female Pamphobeteus sp. "platyomma"

This is a juvenile P. fortis. Unfortunately she grew out of most of that pattern on her carapace.

Wow, what a stunner!

I'm still searching for a young Pamphobeteus antinous.

One day......

That is a great pic. They are really nice at that size. They are aggressive feeders, and grow to an impressive size quickly. The only drawback is that I find the urticating bristles of that species particularly irritating.

Great pics people! One of my favourite genera. Anyone got some P.ultramarinus or P.vespertinus shots??? These would have to be the most underated theraphosids on the market. Keep 'em coming, PLEASE!!

Thanks,
Steve

No. You guys will not get me to buy another Tarantula! After the shipments from E-Spiderworld and Invertepet that is it! No more!
