These guys are damn small! Got three shipped for $13.00 total from EAD063.(review in seller/dealer review section) They are V. spinigerus I2 scorplings, heres the best pics i could get with my camera.

Do I need to put some sort if hide or something to climb on in the cups? If so what should i use, a piece of bark or something?

They are cute, Dan!!!!! If you think they need hides, fold some cardboard in a tent shape for them, then you can cut it to whatever size will work for you.
BTW, little one is fine and eating like a pig!!!!!!!

Hey jungle I'm expecting some of the same brood from Ed too. I can't see the pictures where I'm at :(. But yeah little tent shapes work good for hides. I had previously bought cage locks for my snake but when I got him his new tank it came with one built in. So i used them for hides for my 3I lq's. It works better than cardboard because they can't climb it. Altough most people just suggest that you leave the scorps in a dark place like a cabinet. Hope mines come out as lively as yours.

Yeah I tough my Lq's are small now but I remember when I got them and couldn't find food I was considering ants. And the ants were still about the same size as the scorps.

Great pics of my kids Dan..

Looks like being in the dark box did some good as they appear much darker and have developed some of they're juvenile coloration. Best of luck with them, I expct them to be very hardy, as not one (except that one in the cup I dropped :()) has perished.

Still no V. spinigerus for me :(... BUt Dan I also went to a few special reptile stores to see what the smallest crix they had and they said that taking care of pinheads was to much trouble but they could order them for me. I went all the way to the O.C looking for damn pinheads. Then i went to petco to buy some flighless fruitflies but they hadn't matured yet. I eventually went to petsmart and asked a very beautuiful and helpful redhead if I can choose my own crickets out. She took me to their tank of smallest crix and I chose the smallest of the smallest. Honestly they were still bigger than the scorp but the hungry lil criters ate them no problem.

first live meal today for them

yea it can be pain, and its a pain working with such small crickets, luckly i found the perfect size(and you could see the food they ate in them so they were gutloaded) at a reptile specialist shop. This was their first live meal. The first scorp cought the cricket stung him and is almost done eating him. The second scorp cought and stung the cricket then went digging under his bark and is currently eating it. Strangly the last scorp freaked out at the cricket and was running away from it:? So i crushed its head and its siting in there but he hasnt touched it yet.

thought id post pics from today. Well i was at petco and saw a vail of wingless fruit flys and they looked to be the perfect size to i thought id try em out. Heres a few pics, there getin fatter hehe. Btw the same scorp that refused the live cricket last time refused the live fly this time, so i killed it and later found him eating it:? Lol anyway heres pics of the 2 others just after the catch.

im interested to see how the flys do...there supposed to reproduce and make new generations in the vail and last awhile...we'll see
