I'm not so sure it was angry, seemed more defensive to me since he was trying to puff up, and raised his back legs up to make himself look bigger. You could also see something dark on the left hand side moving back and forth, seems more like torture.

By angry I meant defensive. Yes it's obvious the person is off screen provoking it while moving her hand around. I hardly would call it torture especially considering he's the only one going on the defensive.

Maybe not really torture, but almost certainly stress-inducing. They probably got over it, but I sure wouldn't subject my frog (or any other critter of mine) to treatment such as that.

To be fair, if you can set aside the above aside, it is kind of amusing to see a frog with such attitude.

Probably not that big of a deal. What you do need to note is that this frog is clearly stressing out...but its sp. will use a defensive reaction so the whole thing is very obvious to us keepers. I'm sure at least one of the other frogs is also quite alarmed.

What of animals who are stressed by such things but do not respond in this way? Something to keep in mind. Just because an animal will allow you to pick it up doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't mind.

Seriously guys. This thread was to simply show the big personalities of the species. Moving your hand around a good foot away and not even touching him is not a horrible thing to do. Now I don't know how long this girl had continued it and in her other videos she demonstrates the same thing so the degree she does it I don't agree with. But seriously, some just get ticked for you walking by their cage. What then? You going to wear a sheet over yourself so they don't freak?
