So i'm looking for a couple more T's to add to my collection, one of the sp's i REALLY want is the Poecilotheria subfusca HL. I'm aware that the care for pokies is pretty standard across the board with minor differences with regards to humidity, but some research on the highland form has me a bit concerned about the husbandry needs for this sp.
After reading Michael Jacobi's blog about his trip to Sri Lanka to find some of these T's in the wild it seems quite evident that this species is NORMALLY found in rather cold climate.
From there i tried to find some information from people keeping them in captivity, and the general consensus seems to be that WC specimens will not do well at standard room temperature, while CB specimens do fine. (But this could just be a case of mistaking the HL form for the LL)
I was hoping that someone here on the boards has raised this sp. from a sling and could point me in the right direction with regards to husbandry, mainly temperature needs and if it can thrive (not survive) at room temperature (mid 70s to low 80s) like most other T's, or will it require lower temps to really do well.
Thank you in advance for any input.
