Hi everyone! First time spider owner here. Our male P. princeps has been molting for some time now - at least a couple weeks - and I'm starting to get a bad feeling.

At what point do we presume the molt didn't go as planned? 20210114_181001.jpg 20210114_180941.jpg 20210114_180931.jpg Like I said it's been close to a month already and no movement.

Thanks in advance!

Looks dead unfortunately. Molting never takes more than a few hours, although they will often stay in the retreat for a few days after molting. If there’s no movement it likely passed away.

Yeah if there is no movement I would attempt to move it with forceps, if you see no reaction then it’s probably dead.

Aw, man. I'm sorry for your loss. Definitely dead if it's been a month with no movement.
