 Not me.... Handling is one thing, but for the first 30 seconds or so he was just ticking her off with his fingers.

my inspiration in this hobby, my uncle phil, had 2 murinus, and they were night and day different in personality. he could cup one in his hand to pick it up without any sign of aggression or fright whatsoever, and could barely open the other's enclosure without it doing 100 laps at full blast and flying out the door. it goes to show that theyre all different

I'm a believer in NOT agitating T's... Especially OW's, they've got more than enough ability to go medieval and freak out ;)

Agreed. If you do decide to handle...don't make it angry first  I never got the opportunity to really get a feel for the temperament of mine. She was incredibly shy. Now an exfriend of mine did have a sling that would just flip on its back every time I did something in its enclosure.
Anyone else notice the T going "oh crap get me outta here!" as it ran off camera?

My murinus is also very shy and reclusive. The pic in my avatar was the first time I had seen anything other than legs in about six months.
I put all thoughts of handling her aside when she very first arrived at my house. I opened the deli cup in the enclosure, and she crawled out. Not a problem. So I go to bed that night, and when I wake up she is nowhere to be seen! My first thought naturally was that she had escaped. (This was my very first T by the way) I cautiously open the lid, armed with a long kitchen spoon, and very gently start poking the substrate. After about three pokes I guess I nudged her, and she literally BOILED out of the substrate, ready to remove my face! After racing halfway up the spoon , and before I could blink, racing back down, she flipped over on her back in an overblown threat posture. And that is when I decided, I'd better leave this one alone! {D
Nevertheless, she is still probably my favorite T!

This is why I both want one of these and don't want one. They're so funny, they act so tough for something so small. But the last thing I need is something that is so unpredictable, I'm never going to know if its going to bite me and escape

Well, sometimes making it angry can't be helped - sometimes they're just like that no matter how you are with them :D I've got four in all and two of them are perfect angels. So far... As for the other two, they're typical Pterinochilus:

heck mine is only 1.25 inches and i won't hold it because they are crazy fast. Do all T's act like that when you flip them over?
