p fasciata spermateke

this is poechiloteria fasciata....under the microscope.
i know how doese the spermateke look like,but they r so small
that i can just see a little flap of skin...in the middle of epigastric furow.

more distinct r those cone like structures...
i am wondering r those bursa copulatrix(do they come i pairs??)
or it is male epigestric organs??
but as i know they have more narrow base than the body.

another thing , in poechiloteria uterus externus how doese it look like?
and how big uterus externus is in proportion to book lungs??

No it's not the spermatheca.

IMO looks like very early development of the seminal recepicals they will later start to join and form a singal fused organ.

Starting from the rear, going toward the front, the bursa copulatrix is first, then uterus externus(sits more or less on top of the epigastric furrow), then the spermathecae in front of that.
I would like to say that your picture is correct but one thing confuses me. I thought P. striata had a single lobe spermathecae, in the pictue it appears to be either double or it's way off to one side. The uterus externus looks almost like the spermathecae should. Difficult to get perspective, could use a wider shot...

i thought the same thing u sad. the proportion of spermateke and uterus externus is thing that i dont know...but any way all my pic r the same cause i was tryng to sepparate the two organs..

Here's a very early P. ornata spermo for you Zarko you can see the two recepticals starting to fuse, im pretty sure most if not all spermatheca in T's start to develop like this.

Zarko, I see now what you mean on the picture, the spermathcae is curved like a potatoe chip and is being viewed on edge. With this perspective the items pointed out in your picture look correct. I have noticed that the unterus externus on poec's is smaller compared to the size of the spermathecae than with many other genus.

Thanks Bill (Frylock). You're info here clears up a few things I've seen that were very confusing for me. You're time and effort is always appreciated.
