Orb Weavers and a Black Widow - Photos

Here are a few photos from late last year. Argiope argentata, the Silver Argiope, is fast becoming my favorite spider. The one pictured below is more brown than the ones I typically find in the area. It is eating a bee. The orange colored orb weaver is probably a Neoscona species. There are Araneus around here as well, but I'm leaning towards Neoscona on this one. The last photo is a nice little black widow that I turned up outside the house. Enjoy! :)

Spiders are one of the coolest animals on earth.You take great pictures please keep them comming.

Thanks for the comments guys! I'm going to make a concerted effort to find and photograph more spiders this year. There are some real gems out there, I just have to find them. :)
