Hey guys, the pet shop by my place has one of these guys and I was just wondering what they are like in terms of ease of care. I am thinking of picking it up as the price seems reasonable and I like the scorpion.
Opistophthalmus sp. are, as you probably know, burrowing scorpions. A deep substrate is recommended. The venom is mild but I have heard it is very painful. The one down-side of this species is that they, especially females, spend a lot of time in burrows. If you research them you will find a lot of information.
