They are what they are. I know I wouldn't be without mine.

If you can only have one spider though (impossible!!!) I'd chose something else. Same with a trapdoor.

I don't like tanks, I adore tanks. I currently am trying to get a 1/6th scale or larger motorized tank I can build, preferably one I can ride in. One can dream...

I didn't say they weren't interesting. But they certainly aren't exciting. Feeding is fun to see, but they're like a pet cup of sand most of the time.

I keep them in 12 oz deli cups with a sand/cocoa fiber mix. Mostly sand. I give them a small rock just for decor, and they sometimes sit on top of it. I think they get all the moisture they need from food so spraying or a water dish are unnecessary.

What kind of lifespan do they have. I've read Sicarius has a very long life span. Does this genus have a long life span as well?

They live a few years, maybe around 5 years at least? The family itself has a large lifespan with recluses living a decent length of time too

Upto 15 years.

Again I don't know but would take an educated guess at yes as that's what the norm is for spiders.
