Finally I found someone else who likes tanks, is about my age, and likes spiders as his hobby. Wow.
I don't like tanks, I adore tanks. I currently am trying to get a 1/6th scale or larger motorized tank I can build, preferably one I can ride in. One can dream...

I keep them in 12 oz deli cups with a sand/cocoa fiber mix. Mostly sand. I give them a small rock just for decor, and they sometimes sit on top of it. I think they get all the moisture they need from food so spraying or a water dish are unnecessary.
What kind of lifespan do they have. I've read Sicarius has a very long life span. Does this genus have a long life span as well?

They live a few years, maybe around 5 years at least? The family itself has a large lifespan with recluses living a decent length of time too

But since we are on the subject is there a big difference in life spans between male and females of Sicarius?
Again I don't know but would take an educated guess at yes as that's what the norm is for spiders.
