Is the first spider in that post P. auratus?

Yep! She is absolutely stunning right now. I didn't know this species was so beautiful. I was just hoping for a feisty and reasonably attractive spider.

Moved from L.A. to New Orleans this week. Drove three days with 40 tarantulas in the car with me. Everyone made it just fine!

My favorite of the H. gigas (the one who gave a tiny threat pose back in post #107) is female! She’s definitely a keeper. Terrible photo below:


Phormic sp. Purple

Not really purple anymore, but a very beautiful dark grey/brown. I fed her a hornworm and a hissing roach to get her weight back up.
