Ok well now that I have your attention, my Costa Rican Zebra (a. Seemani) just molted and she is fine but she still has a little piece of abdomen hanging from her abdomen the molt is off and out of the tank but that little piece is still hanging. Should I use a paintbrush and rub water on it and tweeze it off now? or should I wait for a couple days until she recoups?

please get back to me ASAP

peace

I'd wait. It won't hurt anything and may very well come off on its own in a couple of days. If not, then you can futz. Right now the skin is softer and you stand a greater of chance of either injuring it directly or by startling it and causing it to become injured.

Ok cool thats what I figured and thats why I decided to wait and ask, I just wasnt sure that when it becomes dry if it would be permanately stuck there.

thnx

I agree with CM, wait. IMO if its not big and isn't interfering with the T then leave it be. I had a L. parahybana that had the same thing happen. I left it alone and it was fine and after the next molt, the problem was solved (although it drove me crazy looking at it).

Hehe, well I went in about a couple hours after the 2nd post and she had removed it herself. I didnt realize it but it was a little piece of abdomen with the top of the carapace attached to it. So now she is 100% molt free and is re-couping as I speak. Thnx for the replies
