I've had this B albiceps for almost a year, and when bought it was perfectly normal. However, since its last moult (only one while in my possession), which was at least a month ago, its back 2 pairs of legs have become pale brown in colour. Anyone have any idea what this means or what caused it, or happen to have a similar B albiceps?

It's kept in a fairly standard way - coco fibre, water dish, hide etc and is fed locusts. I think it's WC

This is it almost a year ago:

Sorry for using links to the images, but they seem to be too big to put in this post.

Wow, what a contrast!?!?!?!?!

I have four and they tend to molt from almost black, to a dusky gray and back again, but never leaning towards brown.

I'm guessing something in its diet i.e. nutrients changed (strictly a guess), or just an anomaly and it will go back to dusky gray/black.

Very interesting, love to see her after next molt.

We don't have experience with Albiceps, but our Sabulosums will switch from black to brown all the time with their molts. Its just a color form thing. Vagans does the same thing. Sometimes its a small contrast, and other times it can be pretty extreme.

I realise that tarantulas may change slightly from moult to moult and so on, but it just seem strange that its only happened to the rear 2 pairs, with the first 2 still perfectly black
