Odd behavior from my versicolor

I have noticed some odd behavior from my versicolor. It seem to be almost face planting into the substrate. When I disturb the enclosure it moves up from the dirt. I keep on finding it in this position. Kinda odd.

Gotcha. Will post a picture when I see it next...I did rescently change its elevation on my shelf...Placed it higher up to be warmer...Maybe it doesn't like it?

Might be feeding position, that or it could be trying to drink water from the substrate. How moist is the enclosure and did you provide a water dish?

Mine are pretty much always hunting when they're down low facing the sub.
