really? i've never seen a black anax before. looks awesome.

The anaxs legs will still be black but will dull up as the new molt wears off. The legs are jet black right after a molt. Very stunning.

ok maybe you can answer my question. What is the morphological difference between the A. anax and A. hentzi? They look nearly identical to me.

Aphonopelma hentzi is just lighter I believe. There are alot of Aphonopelma spp. that look like one another. It's a mess.

some "experts" believe they are all the same blooming thing , others say they are differant. They look identical to me . Hentzi USUALLY look more brownish all over. the anax get really black legs and tannish carapace with red setae
