I can't believe how fast my L. cristata s'ling is growing. I don't think that even my A. geniculata grew so fast. Well, my parahybanas are growing this fast - probably faster. I'll probably post a pic or 2 tonight.

Also, I can't believe how fast it is either. When I was rehousing it last night, the little freak bolted up my arm, around my back, down my back, up my back and then right behind my ear in just a few seconds. That is the first time that I ever had to coax one off of my head. This is also why I think that it is a good idea for tarantula enthusiasts to hold their spiders. It helps build comfort with the creatures. If I wasn't comfortable holding my spiders, I would have probably been freaked out and squashed the little dude. That would have sucked.

Also, I just found my GBB molting when I woke up. I'll post a pic or two of this one tonight too.

How long have you had the cristata? How much has it grown in the time you've had it? Mine is still a little tyke.

Back in April I bought an A. geniculata sling at about 1/4 inch and since I have had it, it has molted twice. The second time being about two days ago. Now it is about 3/4" size. It had a piece of the old exuviae stuck to its butt but I moistened it and brushed it off. She is doing well. I wish that I had started a molt log way back when but maybe I will start one with my smaller slings soon.

And here it is now:

(It is about the size of a quarter with its legs streched out.)

And as far as the pic of my GBB that I said I would post, that will have to wait and the little dude is closed up in some webbing and I can't get a good shot without a lot of hassle. I think I see blue though. :D
