well.... i just might have a gravid P. scrofa on my hands.....

she's gotten rather large over the last week or so, and is now in the process of laying down a bunch of webbing.... i don't believe it's pre-molt since she ate a few days ago, and the fatness is not due to overfeeding.... but if she does happen to drop an eggsac, i would like someone from the denver area to take it when the time is right... so i'll be getting ahold of people if that truly is the case...

but if anyone remembers it from the spider party last month, her abdomen is easily twice the size

and on a side note, my P. irminia sling decided she wants to burrow! how fun is that? after i went through all the trouble of making her a nice setup... she burrows into the substrate... sigh

btw... i was also wondering how many people here have bred P. scrofa, and how long is the average wait from breeding until you get an eggsack...

thanks.

Hey Josh. I'd be happy to give you a hand with her when it's time dude. All you can really do now is just leave her be as much as possible. I think the gestation time may vary depending on ambient temp., humidity, etc..
If and when she makes a sac and fi she carries it full term, 30 days would be when you can pull it from her.

Best of luck man. :)
