So I got an H. mac a while back... and now I'm not sure if that's what it is. It looks like both a male H. mac and possibly an S. calceatum.

Can anyone help me?

It seems to like burrowing, and is VERY VERY defensive. It's about 4-4 1/2", and has only molted once in my care.

Managed to snap this pic.

Male, a gorgeous one too.

A little advice, don't let that guy get out like depicted in the photo again, if you don't wanna spend the next 30 minutes chasing him around your room. These things can teleport. ;)

And please, don't get bit by it. H.mac are in the top more venomous Ts, and MM are generally even worse than females!

I got him out to take some pics. He was too busy doing up-down and threat posture to teleport... No worries, though he was pretty entertaining when he tried to nest in my friend's hair. {D

He's getting sent to someone with some females, so, bon voyage, mister crankypants.
