Non-stingers stinging

Have you had your typically non-stinging scorpions (those that have large claws to crush prey instead) use it's stinger? My heterometrus spinifer used it's stinger once on a rogue cricket. It's not even a large prey item relative to him as he's an adult. The cricket was a really energetic one and when he caught it it struggled hard so he started stinging like a madman. Poop flew onto the wall and one leg popped off the cricket from all the grabbing. It was really impressive to watch lol.

Yea lol same thing happened with my H.petersii always crushed first but if the roach or cricket would go nuts and fidget a lot he would sting .

I have a H. Troglodyte that will ocasionally sting a roach if it's to big. But I also have a tityus stigmurus that generally won't sting it's prey.
