Celebrating my luck with pictures (beating 6.25% odds) thread

I've been busy raising so many of these things from slings for years, but was finally able to get three of the major concerns sexed via moult by an expert (just being clear, this isn't me fumbling around with molts, hallucinating things). And I'm counting myself extremely lucky as all were female---the B. albiceps is extremely slow growing and even did a one year pre-moult/hunger strike on me so I was really crossing my fingers on that one, and the Davus sp. Panama cost me enough money as a sling that I only bought one so was really rolling the dice with that.

Just posting pictures to celebrate my getting lucky with these three. I have it on good faith that karma is a bitch though so I'm aware I'll be paying for this somewhere else.

Very nice 👍. This is a dream species I’ve never seen on places I ordered from . Congrats on getting so many females , on average 75% of my slings are males. Although sometimes IM luckier. Usually end up having to buy a lot to get a few females.

Once I got past the first few specimens when I started buying them, that's exactly what I started doing too. I was rolling the dice with these for sure (but am grateful I got lucky). Specimens I've purchased since I buy multiple slings as my expectation is exactly what you said here...better my odds with a few of them :)
