Yes this is a stupid post but I think it is worthy of posting. I always find myself saying certain spiders scientific names over in over in my head because they sound so nice. THey roll off my tongue well and just sound pleasing. So I was wondering what ones you guys think are teh nicest. Post your two fave names and then your least fave.

1. Lasiodora parahybana
2. Heterscodra maculata

LEAST: Megaphobema robustum

Cyaneopubescens just reminds me of 'puberty', which I don't like at all (the word, it's the word I find ugly)

Anyway, some of my favourites:

Nhandu carapuensis,
Avicularia Metallica,
Brachypelma Emilia.
Megaphobema Mesomelas

well, official it is not, but cyriopagopus paganus sounds really nice to me. so does the the 'lividum' in haplopelma lividum...

It is a thought that some words just sound beautiful to the ears. And with that said, i dont find the word 'beautiful' as beautiful a word as words like 'evil' or 'death'...just a thought:)

I love the word 'Avicularia'
It just sounds so nice!
So, I like:
Avicularia metallica
and
Megaphobema mesomelas

the one I find sounds like a dinosaur, and doesn't roll right off the tongue:
Ceratogyrus brachycephalus
