Typical, I get bit by everything. My first ever bite was actually by a N. Chromatus (White striped bird eater). I work with these creatures a lot so I encounter new ones every day. I was working with some children when they asked me to get out what I thought was a 3" Acanthoscurria geniculata (Giant white knee). I put my left hand flat in front of it and when to give the back leg a gentle push with my free hand to coax in onto me. It turned around, jumped on my hand... bit me and scurried away before I even had time to pull my hand out. The sheer speed of this tarantula in attack mode had me terrified of it after that. I had next to no symptoms, I think this was because she gave no time to allow the venom to transfer from her glands to my hand!
