So I am getting a Nhandu Chromatus sling soon and I have heard that their urticating can be fairly bad. So I was just wondering what people have to say about their hairs from personal experience, stories, w/e. Just trying to get a little more knowledge on the species since they look amazing and will be a nice addition to my collection.

its more of a personal reaction. i will get itchy hands for something like that or an L.parahybana tops, my wife however gets something that resembles chemical burns as a reaction from a B.smithi >.<

People will get different reactions from different species.
For me Nhandu sp hairs don't give me much of a reaction, but Pamphobeteus sp hairs make me itchy for days.

I stupidly scooped up a pile of packaging that a large female N chromatus had effectively cast off her whole abdomen's hairs onto. Got hit with a nice patch right in the cleft of my elbow.

Not too bad, Just came up in minorly itchy red dots that lasted a couple weeks. Only good thing, putting them under hot water is the best feeling ever.

I have been haired by many species. Depending on the person its different. I have been haired by theraphosa, brachy, pamphobeteus, lasio, and no reaction, I might have sneezed once. Nhandhu chromatus, I got rid of my MM, the hairs was too much. For me this was meanest spider I have ever seen. I've hugged obts who were nicer than this spider. F
