Just traded Anastasia for this 6" + Nhandu Chromatus female.

Great T. Eating well too! Just thought you all might like to see it.

I make the enclosures myself with scrap acrylic sheet I find on Ebay and buy the hinges and hasps from US plastics. That enclosure cost me about $18 to make. I got the vents from "Inverts" here on ArachnoBoards.
I dug a starter burrow for her and covered it with cork bark. She seems to like it. I'm sure she'll arrange it to her satisfaction in the coming days!

She is a bit skittish and shows some quick bursts of speed, but gentle. (Except with the cockroaches!)

Hasn't kick hair too much either. Likes to hang out on the side of the tank and on the cork bark. Spends very little time in her burrow. Great display spider!!

Nice! and a breeder too.

But why isn't her carapace white?
Could be the lighting. She looks more light gray when viewed from the side and Anastasia's picture is directly over head.
Also, in Anastasia's picture, she is only a week or two out of molt. She looks a lot more "White" on the carapace now.

Wow that's a beautiful T. I can't wait until my slings grow up and look like she does.

May i ask smthin??

From you experience is this a good T for a 3rd one? Do these require too much space? Are they fast/agressive? Are they easy to care for? and so on so on ... xD

I'm indeed in love with them, want to buy for sure !

//Tiago

EDIT: are these "Nhandu coloratovillosum" the same as Nhando Chromatus ?

I treat her like a fast Brachy species. Same habitat conditions, slightly damp in one corner with water available. Remainder of the enclosure is dry with a burrow covered by bark.
Really not much different than my Brachypelma boehmi except faster. Not really aggressive if you are gentle. The enclosure should be at least a 5 gallon if not 10 for an adult.
N. chromatus and N. coloratovillosum are two different species. Nearly identical except for color patterns a little different. The N. coloratovillosum is overall a little darker in color, I believe.
I don't see them being any more difficult than the Brachy's.

Anyone else have thoughts are contradictions to my thoughts????

Temperment, gentle??

My big female N. chromatus approx. 7" is anything but gentle. Since about 3" she has never been shy to throw threat displays. She has never flicked a hair ever, but has tackled my tweezers on several occasions.

Want a medium adreneline rush? This one grows large enough to inflict a good mechanical bite, but venom is considered mild in comparison to most other attitude spiders.

One of my favorites.

I've put my hand in the tank with her several times to clean up a little and never got a threat display. Though I've never dared wave my hand in front of her. About the time I get a threat display, I will be sure to use long forceps!!!!!

Mine bites everything including her water if it moves in the dish and she is near. Nasty little bugger...

My adult female puts on a great threat display so consistently that I've actually used her in shows (for kids) just for that purpose. I open the cage, gently touch a leg, she goes up like the Karate Kid, the kids are aw-inspired, I close the lid! She does this every time I show someone.
(Disclaimer-This is one small part of the show. We also talk about natural behavior and I show docile species as well.)
