I had a minor surprise a while back, shoeing a krait, common banded, off a road. It was huge. 6 feet long and a good 2 inches thick. All the kraits I had seen before were 2 to 4 feet long and less than an inch. It also clearly demonstrated their split personality. Normally slow and laconic but from sundown to around midnight they turn very aggressive. Using my snake stick to move it along it turned and struck in my direction several times.

You should know better, trying to put shoes on a snake, especially one that big.
No wonder it became aggressive.

The Snake Charmer by Jamie James
Is a book about joe slowinski who was a herpetologist that primarily studied snakes and if I remember correctly the species that he had the accident with that killed him was some sort of krait. I read it years ago but remember it being good
