Picked my slings up this morning from the FedeX hub down the street from me.

Xenesthis intermedia was purchased as 1.5 inch sling it is actually over 2 inches dls. Did not molt in shipping vial. How nice of the seller.

Aphonopelma Santa Cruz purchased as 1/4 sling. It is actually 3/8. Sorry for the not so great photo. It looks like most slings that size. Didn't want to keep lid off for photo it is way too hyper.

Goin tomorrow to pickup my Harpactira pulchripes sling. I gotta drive half an hour because I live pretty much in the middle of nowhere :)

I do consider myself to be lucky as far as the FedeX hub a couple of minutes down the street. I'd trade that anyday to live in the middle of no where though. Too congested where I live and bumper to bumper traffic all day of people who cannot operate a vehicle at all.
Anyway nice T selection, that's a nice T to have.

Nice additions. Can't wait to see the Xenesthis grow out!

I wish every seller would underestimate their listed sling sizes. It's much nicer to expect a smaller sling and receive one slightly bigger than expectations than vice versa.

I absolutely hate buying 0.5" slings that end up being 3/8".

Thanks 🙂
The seller knew he was giving me a bigger than ordered T, was being very generous. It would of costed a whole lot more at this size than what I paid.

X. intermedia will have a fast growth rate up to around 5 inches then slow down. I believe it will have about the same growth rate as my A. geniculata. My genic grew rather fast up to 5 inches now it's slowed down.

The A. Santa Cruz is an exciting T. It could be a new Aphonopelma species. The seller had a specimen sent in to have it's genetic makeup analyzed and identified. Will be quite a while before results are given. Nonetheless the colors on this Aphonopelma are stunning chocolates and light brown at sub-adult, adult size. I'm super excited about these 2 T's.

Going to feed them tomorrow. The A. Santa Cruz needs a day or two to settle in. The X. intermedia settled in immediately was quite shocking. It was grooming itself after about 5 minutes in it's new enclosure.

Well yes, kind of depends on the genus and species. Slow growing T's can hurt to get one smaller than what was advertised. A fast growing one really doesn't matter.

My genic was sold as a 1 inch sling. I received a .5 inch genic. It grew incredibly fast so didn't even matter.

I have the same luck with FedEx. I work next door to the hub so it’s always easy.

Just got back a little while ago from FedEx. My Harpactira pulchripes sling is in their new container. I was suprised how easy it went into it and didn't bolt.
