I've been eying this tokay at the old Petco I worked at. He'd been there for months. The other day I asked about him from an old coworker and was told he was previously bought but the man wouldn't buy the gecko unless my friend let it bite him first (to make sure it doesn't bite hard of course). My friend kept trying to reason with him that yes, they bite hard and yes, they're aggressive but the man wasn't having it. Well he bought it and then promptly returned it after his girlfriend tried to hold it the moment he got home. :wall: I felt bad and didn't want that to happen to him again so I snatched him up. He's a male and around 9 inches. Really shy little guy and he vocalizes a lot. I can't even walk into the room without him barking and sprinting into the plants. It took him three hours for him to be able to comfortably move from the transport box. He was the dominant of the three (probably male) tokays kept in the space of an 8 gallon tank and so he's fairly plump.

Awesome!

Congrats! Tokays are by far the prettiest of the geckos and the most fun to watch and listen to. I love my pair!

I just got a pair of nice wildcaught ones (As nice as they get) About 10" and the f'n container poped open in the car and he ran up under the ducts, the other one has some battle scars but at the price i just wanted to try to get some CB babies.. 10bucks for the pair.. the one that made it to my home is set up and looks so much happier in the new habitat and even took a cricket off the cage and felt like she was going to break the glass, i gotta figure better how to sex (i had the guy from outback reptiles sex them) And figure out which one i have... seeing the scar i would think male from terratorial fights, but who knows.. anywho.. i'm going to name it al pacino.. it's pretty cool though so far. i'd REALLY kill for some CB babies, they don't seem to come up often adn i hear babies are easy to tame.well... easier than a 10" tokay that wants to use you for a chew toy
