They will do fine in a 10gallon, I've kept up to 500 in one.

I suggest a plastic container, the baby roaches will climb the silicone in the edges and escape.

I keep mine in a rubbermade tub its cheap and dark for them. The best food I have found all purpuse poultry food make sure its safe without all the good stuff out of it. Its really ground up thin and add some bran to it and its great just a hint

I've read that some of the more expensive brands of dog food have a roach deterrent in them - If this is true, then it would be best to avoid those and stick to the cheaper products. ;)

keep mine in a deep dark-colored rubbermaid. 70-75 F during winter, 85 - 90 F during summer. feed em fruits, table scraps, dried dog/cat food, etc. i started out w/ 30 roaches 3 yrs ago and have since had thousands from that brood alone, and they are still going strong- there is always several hundred at any given time in the colony. Roaches are fun to raise and easy captives. Enjoy

dog feed with a roach deterent?

I feed my roaches a good mix, but it dose include Maximum Nutrition brand dog food and it states that there are no artificial colors, flavors, no preservatives or meat by products. I use it for my dogs too.

IS anyone sure of a place I can purchase some Discoids from?

Ive been looking every where first for Turkistans then Lobsters, and so far im not quite happy with those ones...

Im looking for a non-cimbing, non-flying or fluttering species of a good breeder roach..

If anyone knows a roach of this description please post a reply with the name and possibly where I can purchase some.

Thanks for your help!!
