I just got a new T. the place I got it from just had it listed as a pink toe. could any help with it's full name? sorry bout the pics, my digital doesn't have a zoom.

I think Its might be A. urtican, but not sure

BTW, while trying to get these shots it sprayed poop all over my key board :(

Looks like an Avicularia avicularia to me. Mine are newbie eyes though, so I might be wrong.

well

It could be a hybrid of some avic species. there seams to be alot of thoes around. The reason I say it that is because of the brown on the legs maybe its just the camera but thats ok.
have a nice day

Nope, no A. metallica. A. metallica doesn't have that many reddish hairs on the abdomen, and the hairs of A. metallica have white tips...

update

thanks for all the help, with the ID. She/he is settling down nicely, last night it took a walk about the tank, and has since started to laydown silk in the entrance of the half coconut shell that I have affixed in the upper back corner or the tank=D

Thanks again

nice setup

I like the setup you put together, looks pretty sharp. As for species, looks just the the A. avic I've got here but not quite as deep jet black, though that might well just be the ambient lighting in the pic making it look that way. Mine is in a 5 gal rep tank too but I'm planning on setting up an 18 tall fish tank with multiple hides and adding about 4 more T's. I'll probably not cement the hides to the glass that way though so it's easier to clean if needed and so that if they breed and I need to pull an egg case I don't wanna have to try to fish it out from someplace like that, hehe.;)

If all works out keeping multiple A. avics in a case together I'll likely design one with a sliding side door about half way up so as to not disturb webs when opening it to feed the crew.:D

I have to agree with everyone else A. Avic. I had one that was that brown and was little bit confused and thought maybe I had a different spieces but it just molted the other day and is now very much as black as my other two adult A. Avics
