ive heard this sp is defensive but are easy to take care of. true? false?

I will say it can be used, but it's a ton of room for that size T. I currently have a P. cambridgei in the same size tank, but I also have a custom piece I made in there that takes up a lot of room.

Really it's a waste of space, but I feel bad leaving it empty & it's not hard to care for the T since it's made it's home in a smaller portion. Once my ornata gets bigger, that's going to be it's permanent home.

And yes, they are easy to care for. I don't do anything special for my P. cambridgei or P. reduncus.

It's pretty big for a 4", honestly (My nearly 7" L violaceoples lives in one and still has a LOT of space), but it will be ok to live in there until adulthood.
They tend to make tube web retreats though, so feeding it won't really be an issue, expecially if you tong feed. Even if not, I don't see these guys having much of an issue finding food in large quarters; I've kept slings in relativly large enclosures, and the food always found it's way near them no problem.

But why spend so much money if it doesn't need it now (or ever, perhaps)?

Here's how I keep my 4" irminia:

It's 12.5"x6"x6" and she has a LOT of room to play in. Just get one of those (or something similar), drill some holes, and save quite a bit.

They're defensive yeah, but are really hardy, so you'll have to try really hard to kill this one. You'll love it. Good luck!

well at my lps its 90 bucks for a 12 x 12 x 12 exo terra so im saving alot of money and im planing to fill it up really good it have a background of like rocks then im gonna buy 3 sets of leafs and some big slabs of cork bark

yea im not planing on holding him/her but if the time comes hopefully she will let me for like 2 mins

also if it is a male when it grows up is there a spot on the boards to find people in canada to do 50/50s? or it it just in the breeding/selling/buying threads? because i really don't like males :/
