Picked this up today, paid £35, pretty sure its an LP/Salmon Pink?
Any idea on sex?

It's not too defensive, but wow can it flick some hairs!

Yes, I thought this. Looks like I will need a female now! Any ideas if it will mature on the next molt, or might I have a few molts left?
I've wondered the same thing about my male LP. How do you know when a male tarantula (LP specifically) is at it's penultimate stage? What are the "signs"?

The full grown adult male LP could be quite large. Lets say 9+". So if you have an 8 incher... likely the next molt is the mature molt.

With this T I doubt it. He should have 2 molts ahead at least...But I have seen MM at 8" so, who knows:)

Last 3 I have had were penultimate at about 6-6.5 inches, and matured at 7-7.5. Just my experience though. I am sure there have been many larger.

Thanks everyone. Yea, he's about 6 - 6.5" right now and has been refusing a meal for a few weeks, just wanted to make sure I didn't have to get rid of him too soon. But when he matures, I'm definitely sending him on his way to get some lovin'! That's what it's been looking forward to its entire life.:D Maybe you could use him when he matures, Fran?
