Actually Andrew Smith named Phoneyusa westi after Rick in 1990.I was always curious to know when Rick West would get a species named after him. Glad it's finally happened.
The footnote on Figure 13 says "early antepenultimate immature". Shouldn't that be a male?Lovely ladies. Cannot wait to see what the male looks like.
Not necessarily. It just means it's an immature, a few molts before adulthood; They don't know what sex it is.The footnote on Figure 13 says "early antepenultimate immature". Shouldn't that be a male?
All pics are female. The description itself indicates no males of this species have been found. The footnote on Figure 13 says "early antepenultimate immature". Shouldn't that be a male?
Other avicularias don't exactly live humid either.First Avic species I see that lives in a dry habitat
...but collected by a guy from Switzerland...Other than that, I've already seen this species for sale, German breeders etc.
That's what Germans want you to think....but collected by a guy from Switzerland...
???That's what Germans want you to think.
I have my doubts about that as they're already available from multiple people, in pairs even...???
...do you have doubts or do you know it better?
so you think, several people went there to collect them!? Not possible, that they bought them from the original "importer" or one of his salesmen?I have my doubts about that as they're already available from multiple people, in pairs even...
