A milksnake is always good for color. I picked up a pueblan for 25 bucks a couple weeks ago. Gray banded king would be a nice addition as well.
The only non-venomous snake on my wishlist at the moment is a blood python.

Inexpensive and colourful screams out Amazon Tree Boa to me ... provided you don't want something that will cuddle. Granted, I can handle ours, but to expect that from this species is setting yourself up for disapointment.

Cheers,

i'd say go with the amazons
they are wicked snakes! my fav.
crazy feeding response, they get crazy patterning/coluring thats endless, they are a one of a kind snake too breed because it's like throwing genetics in a blender when the babies come out and colored cb specimens go for a pretty penny. There eyes have nightshine and that just tops it off right there. plus there a tropical snake that get to be a nice size, what more can you really ask for in a snake. {D

I'll have some pics of the collection up soon for all the ammie fans. :D

my choice is always for a RTB. But im a sucker for the big snakes. I dont have the room right now for a burm but thats the next snake I get once I have the room. Plus i personally dont think there are any nicer looking snakes than just regular Boas, Burms and Retics (except some of the morphs but they are too much $$ for me)

I currently have 2 boas, a male and a female. (42" and 53" respectively). They are both gentle as can be, never any aggression, both fed F/T. Never a single problem of any kind with them (unless you conisder the fact that their poo is like a small dogs right now.

Male boas get about 5-6' and females get to be about 7-8' though some can hit 10'

BTW this is all for BCI's, BCC's get a little bigger, so a BCI would probably be better for you, if you go with a RTB that is.

For a bigger snake I would go with a brazilian rainbow boa, for something a bit smaller a sunglow corn snake would be good.

Yeah, those are so much cheaper than blood pythons.....not.
My bad. I didn't realize that blood pythons were so inexpensive now (<$100). That being said, in the snake market today, I would say that anything under $200 is a "cheap" snake.
