New need help with scientific names/care

I started breeding isopods so I could trade for supplies with people in my hermit crab group and have found I enjoy the isopods more than the crabs. Right now I have dalmatians, powder blues and some from my garden. I was curious what their actual names are. When I took some from my garden I was living in lower Michigan. I am also looking to get zebras and giant canyon isopods in april. I was also curious if care differs between them. I've read the giant canyon pill bugs need a dryer environment. Is this true? Are there other types that you think would be more interesting to get?
