I can imagine that a female C. fasciatum could be sexually mature at 2.5", considering that 3-4" is full size. I bet that she'll continue to grow.

Well, if I were to size her traditionally she would not be 2.5". Her leg span is maybe 2" normal.

I don't know if the male had hooks or not. He was bigger than her though.

Well thankfully this thread was resurrected. I was wondering why my supposed C. fasciatum were so much smaller than ones I've heard and seen.

My female that's currently holding a sac is 2.5" if I'm being generous. The male that matured and was eaten was 3"

I've had a "hobby C. fasciatum" eggsac from a female that was about 1.75" in DLS... have had males that were barely 2" when mature and others that were 4".

it just molted, so it looks very fresh

Thanks for the mating info, very interesting. I have two, and hope that one will be a male, the other a female.

What does DLS exactly mean (D?? Leg span?) And how is leg span exactly measured?
