Thankyou! I'm really starting to get into this. This is only the second T I've ever had. My first was a velvety black G. Pulchra, very nice T, I'm sorry I sold her last year. I have a line on some crawshayi spiderlings, those should be my next.

haha well enjoy the slings cause it will be a LONG time before they turn into anything resembling a T haha they are great though and welcome to the boards.

That's one of the best smithi's I've ever seen!
I would like to purchase one - a sling.. but afraid how long it would take.

o god lol crawshayi take about 7-10 years to mature.. however.. they're gorgeous! I wanted one for AGES but was reluctant to buy a spiderling... so when shopping on saturday i stumbled across some C. crawshayi, T. blondi and various other T's... not kept very well.. but the crawshayi i saw was HUGE! I picked up the pot she was in and she was straight into threat posture, fangs out, striking at my hand through the plastic and hissing really loudly... i thought: i MUST have it! So i asked how much he wanted... £80! She's not quite adult yet, but clearly female, and about 6/7" legspan. We haggled a bit and got it for £65. I was, and still am, so chuffed!!! Gorgeous T's!! :D
Here's a pic

Size of the back legs on it!!! LOL She's skinny and not well kept :( But she'll soon be fine again :D

That is awesome Becky, and a little intimidating! Lucky, lucky find! And yeah, I'm starting to have second thoughts on crawshayi slings due to their growth rate. I'm not very patient. Years ago, I used to work at a tropical fish and reptile wholesale warehouse and we got in 2 adult King Baboons, both were in plastic containers with flimsy lids. To make a long story short...I came into work one morning, flipped on the lights and walked past a bunch of aquariums when something caught me eye...there was the crawshayi sitting ontop of a tank, reared up, and ready to mix it up with me! I siad f---k this! I'm not getting paid enough to deal with hostile spiders, and I made my boss capture it. :D I wasn't really into T's back then.
