Happy to announce a new family member, I picked him up from our local pet store. He had been there quite a while, so I brought him home today. Its Asian Forest scorpion, just not sure which species yet.

Lol!
When I saw the thread title I anticipated a new species had been discovered.
Nice looking specimen you bought.
Maybe @Collin Clary can more readily id this species, best w/h Iding Heterometrus. I'm still climbing the Id curve on Heterometrus, but guess an H. petersii.

Yup, H. petersii. Looks to be female, as I don't see an enlarged tooth on the movable finger of the chela.

Thanks everyone for the ID and comments, once it settles in I will try to get a close up of the underside. Next are the Hadogenes and a couple of Hadrurus, its just slow getting tanks ready.
