Getting 2 C. Marshalli next week.. read tons on them... if you keep them on a shallow substrate they thend to make more web tubes etc... is this ok in the long run or should you give them the depth to burrow? Anyone had a bad experience with the shallow substrate method? or is it ok to do?

Thanks for the input

I have only one.

It spent its juvi life in a small KK where it had dug extensive connecting tunnels with loads of webbing lining them ..

When I put her into a larger KK she is in the process of making more tunnels.
She always hangs out near the openings so seeing her isn't an issue.

I'd say give them some substrate to play with ... but no need to go to Haplopelma distances.
Try puting plastic plants in there maybe one will stay up top.

good luck :)
Gotta love the African T's
