i would raise the humidity, a snake shed should come off all in one piece normally

Congrats though, balls are beautiful and great first snakes

A few suggestions:

First, I would get rid of that lamp and go buy an under-tank heating pad for one side of the tank. Lamps are MURDER on humidity, and this is extremely bad for your snake.

Bigger water bowl! Especially wider. You need to get one big enough for her to actually get INTO if she wants.

Another hide on the other end of the tank. Ball pythons don't do much exploring unless they're hungry, usually they find a place to sleep and they stay there and that's about it. So just give her one or two more things to curl up all snug and dark in and sleep, that's all she needs or cares about. :)

More substrate. The deeper, the better, they love to burrow. What kind are you using?

I have the lamp because I dont have very much success with under tank heaters, they never seem to provide enough heat and as far as the humidity goes the shed did come as one piece on 3/4 of her just around her head came off in two pieces.

I should have said when i posted the picture that this is not the final look of the tank more hiding spots will be added, a bigger water bowl, and I will be adding more substrate, etc...

Oh, and I'm using aspen like you guys suggested.

Thanks
