My 3” Ephebopus Cyanognathus female arrived today. I couldn’t be more pleased. She is very pretty. I know I won’t win any photography awards with these pictures, but I thought I’d share anyway. I doubt I’ll see much of her at all once she settles in, so it was important to take advantage.

First picture was right after I unwrapped her, the second is from when I first put her in her new home and she jumped into the water, the last is when she realized she was in water and turned around to take a very long drink.

Very Nice T you got there, Girl. I did not realize they would get to that size.
Eighter I missed seeing the blue fangs, or does the blue fade away as they grow older? Wish my babies were close to that size. Anywho, that's a very nice buy of a critter, Congrats!

They do lose the blue as they get older. My boy still has a lot of blue and if I shine a light down his burrow that is usually all I can see is the bright blue, and he is only slightly smaller than she is right now. In natural light I can just see the blue in her fangs.

Thanks! When she and my boy are both ready I'm thinking breeding project. Then hopefully I'll have over a hundred tiny little new additions. :)

Man these are such nice spiders...especially at the size your beauties are at.
I have to stop tiptoeing and get one, or 6...

Good luck with your breeding!

Thanks guys! She has found her pre-made fixer-upper burrow and sealed off the entrance. So that is the last I'll probably see of her for awhile. ~sigh~
