Unfortunately, I have lost my A.versicolor sling to a problem molt within this week. I know this is somewhat common with Avics but it still hurt since it was the only Avic. in my collection.

So I traded my Nhandu carapoensis to get a subadult A.versicolor and here she is:

I loved the spiderling neon blue coloration but this is just amazing. I will try to take better pictures soon.

Awesome coloration!

What do you think the problem was with your sling's molt?

It looked like a wet mold, another sling with the same conditions died in a similar fashion as well. I think lack of ventilation was the problem.

Beautiful!! I have 5 Versi slings and I can't wait until they get bigger. I got them as 2nd instar and they all have successfully molted twice since I've had them without any complications. They are a good inch now. One is a big eater and will pluck a 1/2 in mealworm off the end of my tweezers. Strong little bugger!

Mine molted 3 times with no issues as well, I don't know what happened. :(
