Found this little guy on my car under a tree. Hoping the pics aren't too blurry to tell. For some reason, I couldn't get a single camera to focus properly. My insect app has said buttonhook leaf-beetle jumping spider and four-lined slender jumping spider. Still trying to get a better pic. Also, I live in Western NC. Please let me know what you think. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a Pelegrina species, but it’s still pretty blurry and compressed.

I would get what looked like good shots to me, but they would end up looking blurry once I tried uploading them. Not sure why the resolution or what not changed.

Whatever it is, it certainly has some very serious looking eyes!

I'm hoping to get my camera to actually take decent pictures. It's definitely a neat looking little guy and seems very docile compared to my other wild caught jumpers.

Yep, that's my new little guy. Here are the newest pics. I had to take screenshots of the pics on my phone. For some reason, they were getting distorted once they were moved from my phone.
Yup, appears to be a Pelegrina species.

Is there any way to tell whether it's male or female? I've tried looking them up online, but not having much success determining male from female.

Let me know if this one works. My phone isn't the greatest when it comes to close up pics on spiders. lol
I think maybe it’s an adult female. The photo is blurry (not your fault) but I think I might be able to make out a visible epigynum? It does look a little close to the cephalothorax though.

If that’s not a visible epigynum, than it’s not an adult yet.

Yup! Adult female!
Yay, thank you for the ID. She's a very docile girl compared to my Phidippus Audax. One more question and I'll try to conclude the thread. What are the chances that she's gravid? My Audax is wild caught too and her abdomen is huge, but I don't know much about jumping spider reproduction. Thanks again for your help. My other little guy I had blurry pictures of a while back still hasn't emerged (it was the little guy you offered to ID if I got a good picture). Pretty sure it was a peppered jumper too just younger. I don't know if it died or if it's molting. The only thing I've seen since that one disappeared was a little fuzzy looking thing in the bottom of the enclosure. I hope I'm not being confusing. These are 3 different spiders I'm referring to. The one you just identified for me is going to be named Pepper, my Audax is Artemis, and the little guy that has disappeared (that you offered to ID before) would have been called Grace if it had turned out to be a female. I'm basically curious as to the chances of Pepper and Artemis being gravid and what could have possibly happened to Grace. Sorry, if I'm being too confusing. Thanks again.

If she hasn’t molted with you, there is a good chance she is gravid! 😁
And about your Phidippus audax, send me a picture like this one 4A63EAF2-E902-476D-99F8-7F48F89CDB0F.jpeg
and I’ll tell you if it’s an adult female.

This is my female phidippus audax (Artemis). She has been eating good, but not sure if that's for sure why her abdomen is so big. I've had her for close to two weeks now. I almost didn't get these. My daughter went messing with the magnets on Artemis' hideaway and messed with her sleeping spot. When i went to fix it, it scared her more and she scurried around her enclosure. It's fixed now so she should be able to calm down and go back to her sleeping area. lol

pretty sure I see an open epigynum, so if I’m seeing it correctly, it’s an adult female. 😁
