Hiya

Can anyone give any insight on what an egg that is soon to hatch should look like? Will their be any visible difference?

Mines at around day 65 now, I have the date wrote down but not to hand. The silken egg-case has 'grown' considerably, though I havn't opened it. It appears a bit darker in some areas - I'm hoping this isn't mould.. though I can't see it being as the humidty has been lower than usual to avoid this.

Should I try and remove the case and open it just incase?

Cheers

I might have missed it, but what kind of T do you have?
Is the sac in a burrow?
If not you might want to remove it and snip a slit in the case to get a look at the eggs.
If some of the eggs are moldy, you may be able to save some of the eggs that arn't. IMO :)

Yeah it's a H.Lividum. I havn't managed to remove the egg nor the mother though, every chance I get to get the mother out results in her running back to the egg and guarding it, so I decided to leave her with it.

I will try later today though to get the egg out and check on it... how should I make an incubator? I've made on before but would appreciate a recap just so nothing goes wrong :)

Cheers!
