I am some-what new at collecting. I found this at the flea market a couple days ago for $10 listed as "baboon". Any idea on what species this is? It seems to love to climb and is docile enough to handle (even though it has reared on me once)

Thanx,
Ryan

id this spider

That actually seems to be Eucratoscelus pachypus, it is actually a burrowing species if kept on the right substrate. It is a baboon spider so I would be careful, as they are all pretty aggressive. Good luck on your find.

I should also mention that there is some confusion concerning the genus Eucratoscelus. It may be E. longiceps , E. pachypus or another member of that genus.

I would also guess Eucratoscelus longiceps or possibly pachypus (basically a dwarf version of longiceps).

EDIT: Dang, beat me to the pachypus ;)
