Need Help deciding on what to order

Well there is a new bump in my ordering plans. I was originally going to get

A. Aurantiaca 3/4"
P. Regalis 3/4"
H. Gigas 4"

but the guy I am buying from has just informed me that he is getting some C. Thorelli slings in, in about 2 weeks. And that is when I was originally going to order the 3 above. So I think now what I am going to do is take the H.Gigas off the list as it is the most expensive on that list and switch it for a thorelli (Malaysian Earth Tiger) what do the rest of you think? The H.Gigas is $50 which isnt bad but then I will need to buy a tank for it, whereas the 2 slings will stay in the vial they come in for about a month. The Avic is a guaranteed buy for me im just confused on the other ones should i go with the Gigas or the Thorelli? please help me

I'd go for the larger spider. I'm becoming over-ridden with tiny little s'lings. Micro crickets cost too much, especially for a shelf life of 14 days despite my efforts. The demand for disected crickets is getting insane, I'm having to hack up 4-8 to feed 40 little spiders. Very tedious job too!

In a couple of months time when your collection becomes huge you'll look back and think "aww I've too many little spiders and not enough beef" (beef meaning huge-momma T's) So get the occasioanly bigger T to balance out the smaller ones which are easier to get, and pile up

But yeah, go with the Gigas is my advice

Is the H. gigas a female?

Yes The H.Gigas is an Adult Female. Pinheads dont cost too much here and I havent lost a cricket in about 2 months now. I get that gel water and cricket food that comes in a little unlabled plastic container for $0.99 and they just love it.

So Get the H. Gigas the A. Aurantiaca and the P. Regalis? or C. Thorelli, A. Aurantiaca and P. Regalis? those are the 2 diff orders im deciding on. And no im not getting all 4.

My vote would be to get the H. Gigas, A. aurantiaca, and the C. Thorelli

Then again, I think I'm the only one on these boards that doesn't like any of the pokies.

Go for the H. gigas you can never go wrong with Africans.

I love my C. crashayi! and I've been wanting to get some more

africans. H. gigas(true) is on the top of my list. I say go for the H. gigas

but then again C. Thorelli males are so green(my favorite color)

I always wanted a C. Thorelli, but I'd take the H. Gigas in this case.



C. Thorelli isn't going anywhere, but it might be hard to find an adult female H. Gigas for sale later on.

Well the decision has been officially made. I am getting the H. Gigas, P. Regalis and the A. Aurantiaca. He made me aware that it is not a guarantee that he will be getting the Thorellis in because his supplier has a very limited stock and he isnt making his order for about a week so he will most likely be out. Atleast it made my choice a whole lot easier because I was having a very hard time deciding. And plus everyone who posted said Gigas too so that must mean there is something special about these guys. Thnx
