Thats horrible, his parents don't sound like very nice people, why would they do that to the poor guy? or any animal that can't surive in the conditions outside?

Makes me feel so angry...

Yet another example of how lying to parents hurts the spider when the parents find out.

How about not putting the animal in danger by hiding it from the parents in the first place? It's called irresponsibility.

I'm not saying thats right either, its still animal cruelty to do what his parents did.

I know it was pretty irresponsible of her. Its not like her parents said no, she just didnt tell them about it. She has other inverts, and shes almost 18 and getting ready to move out. Her mom just wasnt too thrilled I guess.... my freind found the container updide down with dirt thrown all over the place in her front yard with her T freezing to death.

Anyway, I am now his new owner. He seems to be doing okay now that he has been in an ICU for afew hours. I dont know how he turned red either, but he did. Maybe it was just the reflection of frost off of his hair. I have no idea, but he is normal color again

I live in Virginia too, and while the weather was chilly (relative to what it has been lately, I don't think high-fifties to low-sixties qualifies as terribly chilly) and damp all day, it was nowhere near cold enough to produce frost. That couldn't have been the reason.
