Native population's reactions to tarantulas

I was wondering if there were any videos of African/Asian tribes or rural populations that have experience with tarantula species, I've seen articles where people around the Sierra Leone area get bitten by Stromatopelma Calceatum frequently but I'd like to hear what they think about them..

There are videos, in many countries Ts are eaten.

Yeah, I've seen Thai and Cambodian videos and the locals seem pretty desensitized to them, saw a 7~ year old with a C. Minax/vonworthi on his face... pretty crazy if you ask me

I read a article a couple of years ago that stated that one of the threats P. metallica faces in the wild is that plantation workers routinely kill them when they encounter them. Good thing they're protected over there:rolleyes:
